Fontan Architect is a Residential Architecture Firm in NYC. We work on all types of residential projects including apartment renovations, townhouse renovations, new houses, and new townhouses. Below are a few examples of some of our residential architecture projects in NYC.

BK Apartment Combination

The following project is an apartment combination and renovation in Brooklyn Heights. this was a complete renovation including redoing the kitchen, three bathrooms, new finishes, ceilings, lighting, and reconfiguring interior partition walls.

The plans below show the before and after of the apartment layout. It was originally two apartments and we removed partition walls and one kitchen in order to combine the apartments.

The photo below shows the new open plan living dining area after we removed the wall between the two apartments.

Downtown Manhattan Apartment Renovation

This was a complete high end renovation of an apartment in the Financial District. the original apartment was all white and the client wanted to add texture and color. Most of the walls were covered with new materials such as wood, brick, and concrete.

The photo below shows the concrete finishes added to the walls and a bright orange wood door creating contrast.

The kitchen was manufactured in Italy and it has a sleek and modern look. All the appliances were installed with the cabinet panels. The walls and soffit were made to match the cabinet doors.

Upper West Side Apartment Renovation

This apartment renovation was a full renovation of a two bedroom two bathroom apartment on the Upper West Side. The cabinets were custom made Maple cabinets.

New Manhattan Townhouse Design

This is a townhouse design for an empty lot in Harlem. The design incorporated a green roof with overhanging foliage. We envisioned this as a green cornice. The facade is designed to be GFRC. Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete with wood details.

New Brooklyn Townhouse 

This is a simple modern Brooklyn Townhouse design. It is a two family house with two duplex units. The facade is designed for fiber cement panels. This project has been filed with the NYC DOB and we are currently in the process of getting approvals.
