Harlem Apartment Reno
Harlem, Manhattan, New York
This is an apartment renovation in a Harlem Pre War apartment. The apartment had been in the owners family for three generations and had never been renovated beyond simple patch jobs throughout the years. It was well overdue for a renovation.
We opened the kitchen partially removing a wall. This made a semi open kitchen with a peninsula to have a larger living area and creating seating at the peninsula counter. Stool seating is a great way to make the most out of a kitchen peninsula.
The kitchen is mostly white with white flat panel cabients, white countertops, and a white subway tile backsplash. The mostly white on white kitchen is offset by wood at the island and wood floors. Additionally there is metal in the bronze lighting and stainless steel appliances. Metal which goes well with white, especially the gold kitchen faucet which stands out as the centrpiece of the kitchen.
