SoHo Loft on Crosby St
- 4,000 Sq Ft SoHo Loft
- SoHo, Manhattan, NYC
This project is a renovation of a 4,000-square-foot luxury loft located in the heart of SoHo, New York City. The design balances authentic historic loft character with elevated contemporary living, creating a refined residence that is both architecturally significant and highly livable for modern luxury lifestyles.
The loft features soaring ceilings and a dramatic open-plan layout where the living room, dining room, and kitchen flow seamlessly together. This expansive volume creates a sense of grandeur while allowing for flexible entertaining, large-scale art display, and curated furniture compositions. The scale of the space allows for museum-quality artwork and statement furniture pieces, transforming the residence into a gallery-like living environment tailored to sophisticated collectors.
Original industrial elements were carefully preserved and restored, including exposed brick masonry walls and original heavy timber wood columns and beams. These historic structural elements provide warmth, texture, and authenticity that cannot be replicated in new construction. New wide-plank white oak flooring was introduced throughout to unify the space and provide a refined, modern counterpoint to the historic materials.
The kitchen has custom furniture-quality installation, blending natural wood millwork with bespoke lacquered cabinetry. The material palette balances warmth and precision, resulting in a kitchen that feels both highly crafted and visually quiet within the larger open space. The kitchen functions equally well for private daily use and large-scale entertaining.
Large industrial windows flood the loft with natural light throughout the day, enhancing the depth of materials and artwork while reinforcing the connection to SoHo’s historic manufacturing architecture. A fireplace anchors the main living area, adding intimacy and residential comfort within the expansive volume.
This project reflects our full-service approach, where architecture and interior design are developed together to ensure material continuity, spatial clarity, and a cohesive luxury experience from concept through construction and furnishing integration.
